The Sacrifice of the Heart – Life of Redemption
“It is here that one gathers the will, ability and knowledge to free the centers from slavery to the psyche.” E.J. Gold, The Joy of Sacrifice, page 226
Here then is the opening quote from the fourteenth sacrifice that lies before us. The sacrifice moves us from learning to stand in the place called the essential self to acting from that space.
But, there is a new element. As we approach the place of standing more regularly in that space, we can “see” the possibility of moving into a truly new life. But, that new life and new platform come at a price. The sacrifice is to leave behind our old ways.
How does one do this? First and foremost unless you “see” the life of the New Man, then you will merely rearrange the furniture of your old life. This is a sacrifice of the first order. One must work to consciously leave behind one’s systems of the beliefs, thought processes and emotions of ordinary life.
Only when that sacrifice is complete can we stand in this new land. Then, we are able to begin to activate the higher centers. If we can sense and breathe from those higher centers, then we can become a vessel. At some point we realize that, in part, our job is to cleanse the vessel that we took on for this life.
The cleansed vessel can then become a conduit. That conduit creates a channel for the Absolute to walk the earth. It is called a conduit for Pure Love.
