A Fragment on Parchment

A fragment of a text on a parchment is found. You interpret it. It has an intriguing message. You are compelled to study it further. Some tone in the parchment tells you that there may be something vital to you, and maybe to mankind.

Chapter 1 Summary

This chapter is the beginning of a new exploration because it appears to be a map that a previous civilization left behind.  It is up to us as individuals to challenge ourselves and each other in moving forward in our Work.

There are two important clues comprised in this chapter provided that we are the only survivors: 1) what is meant by “an awakened biological machine.” 2) Absolute Prayer – a reference to the essential self in going to other dimension in prayer, that which is beyond ordinary prayer for the ego.

We are working on developing an essence and for each of us it will have different sensations.  Perhaps it will start off by being able to place the body in a passive state to bring an inner electrical field to the surface which thereby allows an inner vibratory sensation, allowing the essence to come to surface to “hang out.”   Or it could be the sensations of moving up in an elevator at a supersonic speed that creates the inner vibratory sensations that allow the essence to venture out of the body.  No matter how each individual gets to this state the goal remains the same and that is to extend the length of time in the hopes having the essence begin to take form and begins to develop.

The core of the chapter is that we have clues on the parchment that provides us how to differentiate the ego and the essence.  In ordinary life, the ego is fed by our human needs and wants and it does not allow the essence to awaken, however, Prayer-Absolute awakens the essence so that the ego is a useful resource to reach the Absolute.
