The Machine as an Electrical Field
The human biological machine is a powerful dominant electrical field which can, if its transformational functions are activated by the waking state, act electrically upon the essential self … another, less powerful but more subtle electrical field which forms the true self.
This chapter is truly one of the seminal chapters presented by E.J. Gold. Here are able to see the first glimpses of the actual mechanics of transformation. We have heard tell of certain concepts in quantum mechanics speaking of “field theory.” These concepts, now leaking through to popular literature, were developed 75 years ago. They speak of the “field” in which we always operate.
In Chapter 10 Gold speaks of the startling concept that our biological machine, our body, mind, and emotions are in fact an electrical field. This electrical field is different than the electrical field of the essential self. Thus, they are able to interact. The way they interact is up to us.
Left to their own devises, the machine remains asleep, and the essential self remains hopelessly hypnotized and immersed in that sleeping machine. But, when the machine awakens, something new is possible.
What is possible then for you and I?
